FirstIgnite CRM keeps track of the companies, people, and deals behind your partnerships. It's built into FirstIgnite, so the companies and contacts you find there flow into it without retyping.

Open CRM
Click CRM at the top of FirstIgnite. CRM opens inside FirstIgnite and signs you in with your FirstIgnite account, so there's no separate login. Click Back to FirstIgnite at the top of the CRM sidebar to return.
Your CRM workspace belongs to your FirstIgnite team. If you see an access message, ask your FirstIgnite admin to turn on CRM for your account.
How records get into CRM
Records reach CRM in five ways:
Send to CRM: select companies or contacts in FirstIgnite, for example in Company Search results or a project, and send them to the CRM.
Autopilot projects: in CRM, go to Settings > Autopilot and turn on Auto-import Autopilot contacts. Each time an Autopilot run finishes, its contacts are added to the CRM, along with any companies that aren't there yet. This setting applies to your whole workspace. Whether it's on or off, you can always add contacts from a project yourself with Send to CRM.
Connected mailbox: if you've connected your email, new people you email with can become contacts. In CRM, go to Settings > Connected mailbox and choose an option under Auto-create contacts. It's off by default. You can review suggestions before contacts are added, and list email addresses or domains that should never create a contact. This setting applies only to your own mailbox.
Manual upload: upload records to the CRM yourself.
Integrations: records sent from a connected HubSpot, Salesforce or Blackbaud integration.
If a record shows up that you didn't add, it most likely came from one of these. Use the source filters on the Companies or People pages to check.
Find your way around
The CRM sidebar holds everything in one place:
Home: your daily brief, insights, quick stats, and recent activity
AI Assistant: ask questions about your CRM data
Companies and People: your organizations and contacts
Faculty: the faculty and researchers at your institution
Deals: your pipeline, as a board you can drag deals across
Tasks: assignments, due dates, and priorities
Interactions: meetings, calls, notes, and synced email
Mail: your connected inbox and calendar, plus suggested contacts to add
Reports: pipeline and activity reports and dashboards
Settings: pipeline stages and workspace settings
Depending on your role and setup, you may also see Integrations. Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) anywhere in CRM to search everything.
