You can file the reports and exports FirstIgnite produces against the Minuet technology they came from, so they live with the record.
Before you start: your Minuet connection must be active and the document-save endpoint must be granted. See What each Minuet feature needs, and who can turn it on.
A file always attaches to a technology, but the item doesn't have to be linked to one already. If it isn't, you choose the technology as part of the upload.
What you can upload
From | What gets filed | Format |
A tech assessment | The assessment report
A summarization | The summary
A market report | The report
A project | The project export | XLSX |
How to do it
Open the report, summary or project. Everything here happens in the Minuet sidebar, which sits behind a tab on the right edge of the page labelled Minuet, about halfway down. It's on every screen that has Minuet actions, and it's easy to miss because it sits flush against the edge.

Select the tab and the panel slides out with the actions available on that screen. Choose Upload as Document.

It expands into a short form rather than uploading straight away.
Technology. Where the file will be filed. How this behaves depends on where you started:
A summary, market report or project export that came from a Minuet technology shows that technology fixed and read-only. You can't send it somewhere else.
A tech assessment shows its technology already filled in, but you can change it.
Anything with no technology behind it gives you an empty search box, "Search by name or Tech ID…". Either works as a search term.

The same field with a search term typed in. Each result shows the technology name above its Tech ID
Filename. FirstIgnite proposes one from the item's title — FI-tech-assessment-…, FI-summarization-…, FI-market-report-… or FI-project-…, with the right extension. Edit it to whatever your office files things under. It can't be left empty.
Options appear for a project export only: whether to Include company matched reasons, and whether to Include emails from people who are not yet accessed. The second spends a credit for each of those emails, so leave it off unless you want that.
Then choose Upload to Minuet. That button stays disabled until there's a technology and a filename, so if it looks inert, one of the two is still blank.
The upload form on a project export. The technology is fixed and can't be edited, the filename is prefilled as FI-project-language-evaluator.xlsx, and the two Options checkboxes sit above the Upload to Minuet button
Some exports are prepared and uploaded in the background. FirstIgnite tells you when an upload is queued and notifies you when it finishes.
Where the file ends up
Attached to the Minuet technology, in the WebUpload root of Documents, under the filename you confirmed. Move it in Minuet afterwards if you keep a folder structure. FirstIgnite doesn't offer a folder picker.
The Documents tab of a technology in Minuet. The Path column shows each file in the WebUpload root, and the FirstIgnite uploads are the ones whose names begin FI-tech-assessment, FI-summarization, FI-market-report and FI-project
Files attach to technologies. There's no way to attach one to a Marketing Project instead.
Reading documents the other way
FirstIgnite also reads documents from Minuet so you can use them as input to a summary or a Tech Assessment. Each file can be up to 50 MB and must be a supported file type. Files that are too large or unsupported can't be selected. If a selected file later fails to download, FirstIgnite identifies it as left out and continues with the available data.
When you start a Tech Assessment, or a summary from the Minuet portfolio, the document picker has three tabs:
Technology lists files attached to the technology itself.
Disclosure lists files attached to the technology's disclosures.
Patents lists files attached to the technology's patents.
On Minuet 20.1010 or later, the picker also lists files attached to the technology's remarks, emails and activities. Each one has a label saying where it came from. They appear under the tab of the record they're attached to (Technology, Disclosure or Patents). There's no separate tab for them. If your office would rather FirstIgnite didn't offer these files, a FirstIgnite team admin can turn off Include remark, email and activity attachments under Minuet Settings (depending on your location, app.firstignite.com/inteum/settings or eu.firstignite.com/inteum/settings).
The picker shows how many files you can choose. By default it's 20 in total across all tabs, and a file listed under more than one tab counts once.
The Disclosure tab needs a Minuet endpoint that many sites haven't enabled yet. Until a Minuet administrator enables it, the tab says "Minuet hasn't enabled POST /api/disclosures for FirstIgnite" and offers Open Minuet system settings. It takes about a minute. See Enable new FirstIgnite endpoints in Minuet.
If a file you need still isn't showing, check where it's attached in Minuet. Documents on agreements and other unsupported records aren't listed. For more checks, see Troubleshooting the Minuet integration.
Documents opened through FirstIgnite download rather than open in the browser when their file type could run code. That applies regardless of who uploaded them.
