Enable new FirstIgnite endpoints in Minuet

How a Minuet administrator turns on an endpoint FirstIgnite needs after an update, in about a minute.

Some FirstIgnite updates need a Minuet endpoint your site hasn't enabled yet. Until it's enabled, the feature that needs it tells you, and Minuet shows "Required endpoints out of date" in FirstIgnite's system settings.

A Minuet administrator enables it once. The steps are the same for any endpoint. This guide uses the Disclosure endpoint (POST /api/disclosures) as the example. It lets the Disclosure tab in FirstIgnite's document picker list a technology's disclosure files.

Steps

Open Setup, then System Settings

In Minuet's top menu, open Setup and choose System Settings.

Go to Third Party Services, then FirstIgnite

In the left menu, open Third Party Services and choose FirstIgnite. Under Select an Endpoint Access Group you'll see "Required endpoints out of date".

Select the review and enable button

Depending on your Minuet build, the yellow button reads Click to review & enable endpoints or Review & enable required endpoints. It opens a list of the endpoints FirstIgnite needs that aren't enabled yet.

Check the list, then select Add

The list shows each missing endpoint and what it's for. In this example there's one: Disclosure, POST /api/disclosures. Select Add. Only the missing endpoint grants are added to the selected Endpoint Access Group. Reconnecting is not required.

Check it worked

Reload the FirstIgnite page in Minuet's system settings and check that the "Required endpoints out of date" notice has cleared. Then try the feature again. In this example, the Disclosure tab in the document picker can now list the technology's disclosure files, as long as the technology has files the connected Minuet account can read. You can also re-test the connection in FirstIgnite under Minuet Settings, but you don't need to.

When it happens again

Whenever a FirstIgnite update needs another endpoint, the same notice appears. Repeat these steps.

If you can't see these settings

If System Settings or the FirstIgnite option isn't there, see "My administrator can't find the FirstIgnite setup screen in Minuet" in Troubleshooting the Minuet integration. The administrator needs access to the FirstIgnite setup and permission to edit the selected Endpoint Access Group.
